It is with great pleasure that I christen the RPCC Web Log and I hope that it will become a vehicle of informational idea sharing and an agent for Republican Party growth in North Eastern Ohio. The RPCC Rough Writers blog will ask that everyone who chooses to post a response sign up for a TYPEPAD account - personally I believe if it’s important enough to write- than it should be important enough to sign your name to. We can all agree that it’s sometimes easier to simply sign a post as “anonymous” but I would hope that this forum will let our members comment on the state of the Republican Party at the local, state and national levels and also give us the necessary feedback to review the direction of our local County Party.
There are many diverse opinions within this County Party membership and you should all feel welcome to share those opinions in a courteous manner on this site. Just please remember that not everyone is a pro-life, social conservative who favors governmental de-regulation, tax reduction, limited spending and a massively strong national defense (although I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t be)… and already I’ve given you your first opportunity for a response.
In all seriousness, there will be posters to this site that primarily focus on social issues and others that are driven to this Party by our fiscal discipline platform and yet others that may be interested in our Party’s heritage and I can assure you that everyone will receive the same courtesies extended to them from the RPCC staff. We will not always agree on every issue, but putting those issues in the light and discussing them in an open forum can only lead to a better understanding for all of us.
Once again, welcome to the new Cuyahoga Rough Writers Web Log!
